Our goal at Pine Mountain CrossFit is to provide elite training to an underserved area of the country. It is in our opinion that in order to become physically fit people need a program that changes lifestyles. A program that not only targets strength and conditioning but improves overall health and wellness. Having served as health care professionals in South East Kentucky and Tennessee for several years we saw the need for a program that could improve functional strength, improve health and wellness, fight chronic illness and decrease dependency on long-term medication. We believe that CrossFit programming is an excellent way to achieve optimal physical competence across all domains of fitness and health High intensity constantly varied functional movement. CrossFit is at its core a strength and conditioning program. It was designed program to elicit as broad an adaptational response as possible. CrossFit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of the 10 fitness domains. They are cardiovascular/respiratory, endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. CrossFit was developed to enhance an individuals competency at all physical tasks. Our athletes are trained to perform successfully at multiple, diverse, and randomized, physical challenges. This fitness is demanded of military, police, firefighters, office workers, retiree's and many sports requiring total or completed physical prowess.
